That’s right, people: a brand new Blog. Why the blog? The new comp is kind of cool. I’d rather put more stuff on here, so i'm ‘streamlining’. It’s a bit like the first time David Beckham shaved all his hair off: there’s still a quality product underneath, but now I don’t need to use lots of Brylcreem to get the job done. Or something. And if you think that’s a rubbish analogy, you’re spot on. I’ve been messing around with the rules until the early hours all week long, and it's starting to show.
It’s November 20 and there’s gonna be an enormous queue outside Borehamwood FC on Monday. I might get speakers blaring out Christmas tunes. (Richard Ashley will be DJing) It’s your worst nightmare. Morning! Did you manage to roast a Turkey yesterday, as suggested by Aston Harvey of the Freestylers? Nothing beats going to our trusty Toby Carvery http://www.toby-carvery.co.uk/ just up the road from Borehamwood it’s an absolute bomb site of a place, but meeting some mates there, feeding them, and then reclining on the sofa afterwards as they diligently talk to the scumbags at the bar must be seen. Have a go next weekend if that sounds like fun. A pretty grim weekend of football for all apart from THFC fans (and particularly for Arsenal fans), for whom the two-assists-and-a-goal performance of Spurs’s Aaron Lennon was seriously impressive (We Have Seen History!). I predicted big things for Lennon in my ‘Ten players set to boss 2009’ list, so I’m feeling fairly smug right now. Admittedly, I also said Mark Silver was going to take MNF by storm. Which he hasn’t.
